In 2013, Standing Wave celebrates its 22nd year of presenting audiences with cutting edge contemporary chamber music by Canadian and International composers.  Through their yearly concert series in Vancouver, festival appearances, educational outreach activities and tours, Standing Wave has developed an audience – a community, which is wide and varied.  Our community is made up of professionals, artists, creative, open-minded, forward-thinking people.

We offer a variety of sponsorship opportunities, and packages are fully customizable.  Support us in our mission to present creative new music.

Our Mandate: Through concert production, studio recording, and educational workshops, the Standing Wave Society exists for the purpose of promoting contemporary music from Canada and the World.  Based around the operation of a permanent ensemble, the society researches repertoire, and is active in marketing and fundraising as well as facilitating rehearsals and performances.  Interaction between the ensemble and the Canadian contemporary music community takes place on a frequent basis through the organization of co-produced concerts, the appearance of guest performers and composers, and participation in national and international festivals.
